A commercial seaport until the early 20th century, Blakeney harbour is now silted up, only small boats can make their way out past Blakeney Point to the sea. However, the harbour and surrounding marshes are now owned by the National Trust and kept as a nature reserve where seals can be seen basking on the sand.
